Research

Our research efforts include a variety of investigator-initiated studies focusing on safety, diagnostic accuracy and clinical outcome of our patients with seizures. We collaborate with the Dr. Jay Gottfried’s Laboratory studying olfactory processing, with the Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute investigating functional outcome and epileptogenicity of brain tumors, as well as with researchers interested in the brain-machine-interface. The center participates in the national Maternal Outcomes and Neurodevopmental Effects of Antiepileptic Drugs study and is part of the Center for SUDEP Research, both funded by the National Institute of Health.
