Biography

Dr. Grimm obtained his MD at the Univeristy of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.  He completed a medical internship in Internal Medicine and a residency in Neurology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/ Weill-Cornell Medical Center in New York City. This was followed by a fellowship in Neuro-oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.  He moved to Chicago in 2007.  At Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Dr. Grimm cares for patients with primary and metastatic CNS tumors and the neurologic complications of cancer and its treatment. 

Dr. Grimm’s research focuses on the development of more effective treatments for primary and metastatic brain tumors.  He is the principal investigator of several clinical trials at Northwestern investigating novel chemotherapeutic, biologic, and molecular agents in patients with brain tumors.
