Biography

Dr. Schuele graduated from Witten/Herdecke University in Germany and completed his neurological residency and his two-year fellowship training in Clinical Epilepsy/Neurophysiology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio. Subsequently, he worked at the Cleveland Clinic as a neurologist and commuted to Grand Rapids, MI, where he helped to set up the first Comprehensive Epilepsy Center in Western Michigan.

Dr. Schuele is Assistant Professor of Neurology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and Director of the Comprehensive Epilepsy Program at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Dr. Schuele’s practice focuses on the medical and surgical treatment of epilepsy. He has a joint appointment at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago where he sees instrumental musicians with medical problems related to playing their instruments. Dr. Schuele is Board-Certified in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology.
