| Research Interests |
My laboratory is interested in the neurobiology of disease. Our interest range from the phenotype of specific neurodegenerative disorders, identification of the genetic and environmental risk factors that cause them. Once a causative gene is discovered we engineer animal models to study the molecular pathology and test therapeutic agents to modify the disease process. Focus of our research is on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, primary lateral sclerosis, spastic paraparesis and frontal temporal lobe dementia. |
