The faculty and staff of The Ken and Ruth Davee Department of Neurology at Northwestern University Feinberg School Medicine are committed to training the future leaders of Neurology and its subspecialties, researching causes and developing innovative treatments for the diseases and conditions we treat, and providing the best care to our patients through Feinberg’s affiliated care and hospital sites.
About Our Name
The Ken and Ruth Davee Department of Neurology was so named in 1999 due to a generous gift from The Davee Foundation. The gift was one of many The Davee Foundation has bestowed on Northwestern University and Northwestern Medicine. Mrs. Ruth Dunbar Davee, an alumna of Northwestern University, and her husband Ken Davee were extraordinary philanthropists who have made so much possible through their decades of support of Feinberg, the Bienen School of Music, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Today, The Davee Foundation board continues the legacy of Mr. and Mrs. Davee by investing in research and education at the medical school.
